The Journal of Integrated Maternal and Pediatric Care (JIMPC) is a diamond open-access journal. This means that:

• All published articles are freely and immediately available to readers worldwide without subscription, registration, or paywall.
• No article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or any other author fees are levied at any stage of the publication process.
• The journal is fully funded by Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences, Yazd, Iran, and operates on a non-commercial basis.

JIMPC is committed to the principles of open science and to maximizing the accessibility, visibility, and impact of maternal and child health research.

All articles published in JIMPC are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This is subject to the following condition:

• Attribution — The original authors and source must be properly credited. Users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. They may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses them or their use.

2.2 Copyright

Authors retain copyright of their work. By publishing in JIMPC, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, archive, and distribute the article under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Authors may:

• Post the final published PDF on personal or institutional websites, repositories, or social media immediately upon publication;
• Use the work in teaching, theses, and derivative collections;
• Reproduce the work in other publications, provided the original source is cited.

2.3 Third-Party Content

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any third-party material (e.g., figures, tables, images) included in their article. Such material must be clearly identified and properly credited. The CC BY 4.0 license applies only to content created by the authors; third-party content may be subject to separate licensing terms.

Readers may:

No permission from the journal or authors is required for such uses, as long as attribution is given.

4. Author Rights and Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged to:

No embargo period applies. Authors may self-archive immediately upon publication.

5. Funder Compliance

JIMPC’s open-access policy is designed to comply with the open-access requirements of major research funders and institutions. Because articles are published under CC BY 4.0 with no embargo, authors can meet the mandates of funders that require immediate open access and permissive licensing.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their funder’s requirements are met. If a funder requires deposition in a specific repository, authors should do so upon publication.

6. No Article Processing Charges (APCs)

JIMPC does not charge authors any fees for:

• Submission
• Peer review
• Editorial processing
• Publication
• Color figures
• Supplementary material
• Archiving

There are no hidden fees. The journal is fully funded by the publisher, Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences.

7. Archiving and Preservation

All published content is permanently archived and remains freely accessible under the terms of this policy. For details, please see the JIMPC Data Preservation and Archiving Policy.

8. Compliance and Review

This policy is reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with international standards and funder requirements. Any changes will be published on the journal website.
